Week of February 27th to March 2nd

Hi! This is the plan for this week:

Monday, February 27th: Last week we talked about your unit project and some terms about the weather. You're going to tell me the cities you chose. Today we will brainstorm vocabulary words reffering to the weather and we'll start Unit 9. You're going to do Ex A & B (Vocabulary and Listening Comprehension). We'll also start the Grammar section (ex D) the Present Continuous Tense. Today, we'll see the affirmative and negative structures and you're going to write a short story on the board - as a group. HOMEWORK: upload a pictionary of the vocabulary words seen in class. It's for tomorrow. Also, upload a picture and write 5 aff sentences of what is happening and 5 neg sentences. This last assignment is for Wednesday.

Tuesday, February 28th: Today, we'll see the interrogative structures of the Pres. Cont. Tense and drills on the blackboard (ex E and F, pg 77). HOMEWORK: Write 5 sentences in all forms.

Wednesday, February 29th: I'm going to check your homework in your blogs. You're going to do the convesation on pg 77 and role play one of your own. We're also going to review ex. A in Lesson 2 - WH?'s. and do ex B asking questions about Mike and Paty's day.

Thursday, March 1st: Today is lab day, but you went there 3 times last week, so you are not going today. We'll do ex C about rising and falling intonation of questions and we're going to play a game called Charades. We're also going to see the spelling rules for the present participle. HOMEWORK: Do lessons 1 and 2 in the workbook.

Friday, March 2nd: You're going to do ex F and G for a grade and you're going to make a telephone call following the model conversation on pg. 79. Continue working on your project.

Week of February 20th to 24th

Hi, there!
This is the plan for this week:

Monday, February 20th: You're going to do the Unit Test today! Good luck!

Tuesday, February 21st: Were going to check the test you did yesterday. You are also going to have the lab test on the exercises you did on Friday. Today is the due date for your video projects.

Wednesday, February 22nd: We're going to start Unit 9 "Weather and Ongoing Activities" on pg. 76. You'll read the unit goals to see what you have to know at the end. We're going to check the vocabulary (ex A) and see the Listening Section (ex B). We're also going to talk about the Unit Project because it is going to be a GROUP project. You will have 2 weeks to do it. Your HOMEWORK is to make a pictionary with the vocabulary words learned.

Thursday, February 23rd: Today, you are not going to visit the lab. We're going to begin the Present Continuous Tense. We're going to see the aff. and neg. structures and compare them with the Simple Present Tense. You will do an exercise I will post in the Blog for HOMEWORK.
Tomorrow, we will have a special guest in our class. You are going to bring something to eat (Octavio's Birthday!!) For HOMEWORK, you will upload the notes you take in class about the Pres. Cont. Tense.

Friday, February 24th: We are going to celebrate Octavio´s birthday and we are going to talk to our guest.

Week of February 13th - 17th

Hello, Students!

This is the plan for this week. I know it's a little bit late, but we talked about the plan in class. So...

Monday, February 13th: Lesson 2 Unit 8 pg. 70. Exercise A) We saw the household chores and you brainstormed some that were not in the book. You needed to upload them in your blogs. Exercise B) We listened to the exercise and you circled the correct answers.

Tuesday, February 14th: We talked about the unit project you must hand in on Tuesday. We decided to work with the other group I teach and you chose the students you were going to work with. We also did exercise D as an example of the project.

Wednesday, February 15th: We had breakfast in class to celebrate Valentine's Day since we didn't do it yesterday. We also reported the activity you did yesterday on the daily activities your partner does. HW: Write 15 questions for the interview you will do for the project.

Thursday, February 16th: Today you edited the questions for the interview. Lab day will be tomorrow.

Friday, February 17th: You will do 4 exercises in the lab and you will study them for the test on Monday.
